Best book I've read on leadership
I have two main gripes about many leadership books out there:
they contain a lot of fluff, and
they lack research to back up the model/assertions.
Gary's book is neither of these things. If you've ever felt like you don't "get" leadership or are confused by sometimes conflicting models, this book is for you...
I've recommended this book to many others over the years and it has a prominent place on my bookshelf.

Finally, a book that connects the dots for today's leaders
I have been a leader and leader-of-leaders for many years. I taught military officer candidates how to lead, trained those on active duty how to become better leaders, and even helped revised the leadership curriculum for the Air Force's office candidate commissioning program that is used at 148 colleges and universities across the nation.
In my 30-plus years as a leader, trainer of leaders, and, hopefully, a positive leadership role model, this is the best leadership book I have read.

DePaul's book provides easy to understand and apply principles and practices
Leadership can be so misleading and misunderstood BUT after you have had a chance to read Dr. DePaul's book, that will change for you.

What a wonderful book!
I like the style of writing; As a reader, I feel like I'm with you on a journey through the history and theories of leadership!
I learned that leadership is not a role, but is an important part of everyone's role. That is so true and yet I never thought about it quite like that before.
Also, I like all the tables and the lists at the end of the book. These are helpful references, and enlightening in themselves. Great job on a great topic!
